@@vektoriousproduction He meant the normal "HDR" mode + APL High not "HDR Game" mode. "HDR Game" clips the highlights onto the mid-greys which basically turns this back to SDR.

it's easily noticeable once you turn on any basic lights in the room, but only if you pay attention to it or are constantly comparing it to a w-oled panel. once you have content on the screen it's nearly impossible to tell since most scenes aren't always true black. i have the fo32u2p version with 2.1 and i saw a bunch of these displays in person at the aorus booth in pax east earlier this year too. 3-year warranty including oled burn in makes it a no brainer compared to asus' terrible customer support and LG is missing key features like KVM switch / glossy finish.

not too much...now, don't understand me wrong....even with black raised it has better blacks then an IPS.

and must be direct light...ambiental light doesn't have influence

@@andrewmorris3479 I use the monitor for both productivity (I work from home) and gaming and it strikes the perfect balance of being able to do everything I need it to do really well. This was the holy grail and I am glad it has finally arrived.

It's partially the camera, they're soo bright that they get washed out. But QD-OLED does do some colors worse, and brightness can make colors seem washed out compared to another monitor that is dimmer. Personally the WOLED still looks overall better. The problem with QD-OLED is it's bad at greens and blues, while the WOLED tends to be bad at reds. The other problem is QD-OLED tends to make the picture too warm, which can work in some situations. But what is hard to catch on the camera though is the brightness of highlights and how they make an image pop more. A good example is at 1:27, where the WOLED looks flatter. The problem though is QD-OLED still burns in way faster than WOLED. For most people, either is fine when it comes to color and brightness, especially at night, because even half the max brightness of the LG would be very bright at night. The reason why brightness matters soo much, is it's the opposite of black. When you look at things in the real world, outside, they have a high brightness, even on a cloudy day. Around 300 nits is really the minimum for HDR content, even on LCD's the difference is noticeable, things don't really start the pop until then, regardless of black levels. So anything at 200 nits looks like a screen, while anything at 300 nits looks like real life.

@@peoplez129 The coating of woled when you have changing scenes suck as fuck with this greelish image and the white and black get mix as worse as never ! the aorus 32UP with this new 2.1 bandwith in DP improve colors with less colors saturation and make the blacks look even better, in terms of gaming the QD oled is just an improve over the woled !

What settings do you have the gigabyte on?

Obviously its the camera, if you dont prefer either its on you. No one doesnt prefer oled lol.

I am going to get the ASUS PG32UCDM 4K QD-OLED 240 hz and replace the LG with that. I have an RTX 4090 and for productivity 4K with text is much better!
